Palladio Finanziaria close to deal to acquire Cimos

Slovenian Government will give green light next week

21 April, 18:13
(ANSA) - LJUBLJANA - Palladio Finanziaria, an investment company based in Vicenza, seems to be very close to finalizing the purchase of Cimos, a Slovenian industrial components company.

According to sources quoted by Slovenian daily Dnevnik, the sale will be given green light next week, when the Slovenian government, which is the company's owner through the bad debts management company (Dutb), will approve the purchase. The figures of purchase and recapitalization will then be announced.

The acquisition process has undergone a number of downturns, the last of which occurred in February, when Palladio Finanzia decided to withdraw its offer, due to the lack of agreement between Slovenia and Croatia on a previous debt. Since then, the parties have been working on this operation, which is one of the biggest acquisitions in Slovenia. Cimos, whose headquarters are in Koper, runs factories in Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and employs more than 4,000 people. (ANSA).
