(ANSA) - TRIESTE - Italy's OVS Spa, leading in fast fashion, has
launched an expansion plan in Slovenia, with the opening of 11
Shops, sale area from 800 up to 1,000 square metres. The shops
will take the place of 11 ''Charles Voegele '' stores, besides
the 9 OVS stores already active in the country, bringing to 20
the overall number of retail outlets in Slovenia. This step
occurs less than three months after the successful conclusion of
the Sempione Retail AG bid - in which OVS Spa has a 35% share -
for Charles Voegele Holding AG.
The latter company is the major stakeholder of a network of 400
shops in Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, Germany and Hungary.
The whole network will be renovated in accordance with the
Italian group format. An OVS shop was set up in Nova Gorica was
opened, 826 square metres on 22 March. This is the last of a
series of openings occurred in Kranj, Celje and Murska Sobota.
Today OVS opens in Maribor (895 sqm.) and Velenje (896 sqm.),
whereas new shops will be inaugurated in Slovenska Bistrica,
Koper, Novo Mesto, Kamnik and Ptuj at the beginning of April.
