Romania, Ryanair to connect Bucharest to all EU capitals

Low-cost carrier aims at national primate by 2020

(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 21 GEN - Ryanair aims at becoming the largest airline in Romania by 2020, Romanian media reported referring to official sources within the company. "We want to connect Bucharest with each European capital", said the company's marketing manager, Kenny Jacobs, as reported.

At the moment, the low-cost giant offers routes between Bucharest and seven European capitals: Athens, Berlin, Bruxelles, Dublin, London, Madrid and Rome. The most popular routes are to and from Italy, where one of the largest Romanian diaspora resides, with more than one million residents, according to the Italian Bureau of Statistics, Istat. (ANSA).
