24 October, 13:28

(ANSA) - ROME - The tie between Italy and Bosnia to enhance rural development in the Balkan country becomes stronger: the 20-year partnership convention between the Edmund Mach Foundation (FEM) education and training centre and the agricultural school in Prijedor was renewed in San Michele all'Adige (Trento) this week. The deal aims to enhance the exchange of technical knowledge and educational experiences between teachers and students. The agreement renewal, promoters underlined, is part of a three-day stay in Trentino for some students from Prijedor, hosted by the FEM students' families of Liceo Galilei in Trento, in collaboration with the Prijedor Project Association for the post-war reconstruction of local society and economy. Among the first association's projects are the establishment of an experimental fruit tree nursery in collaboration with some experts from San Michele, the creation of a Farmers Association in Prijedor and the establishment of a microfinance fund for rural development.
