Serbia, Ana Hrustanovic new ambassador to the EU

In service in Rome until now, she replaces Lopandic, removed

(ANSA) - BELGRADE - Ana Hrustanovic, Serbian ambassador to Rome until now, was officially appointed the new head of the Serbian mission to the EU in Brussels. Hrustanovic replaces Dusko Lopandic, removed from office last June because he was held responsible for not having warned the government in Belgrade of an exhibition at the European Parliament on the controversial Croatian Cardinal Alojzije Stepinac. Zagreb supports the process of Stepinac's beatification, whereas Serbia considers accusation of collaborating with the fascist Ustasha regime during World war II. (ANSA).
