Poland, premier: GB to respect rights of Polish immigrants

Szydlo on effects of Brexit after EU27 meeting

(ANSA) - TRIESTE - "Great Britain pledged to respect all the rights acquired by Polish citizens who live and work on its territory", Polish prime minister Beata Szydlo following the EU27 meeting in Brussels, Polskie Radio reported.

Szydlo said that Poland received the news on Brexit referendum outcome with regret, but that it respects such a decision as a sovereign will of the British citizens.

Polish premier further underlined that the Great Britain will remain Poland's strategic partner in terms of economic and security issues.
