(ANSA) - TRIESTE, - The production of the iconic Yugoslav era
moped Tori has started again in Slovenia, with the first units
to be sold as of mid August. The company in charge,
Medvode-based Cresnik, announced that the response of the market
in the region has been good, with the Postal service of
Macedonia among the first buyers with their 120 vehicles order.
Cresnik envisions the production of three types of mopeds, two
for the local market and one for export, and is currently
working on the development of an electric moped model as well as
on a smaller model for young drivers. The company plans to
produce 2,000 units next year, and 5,000 in 2018.
Tori was launched in 1984 and was in production until 2005.
