Italy-Bosnia: parliamentary cooperation gets started

CEI Parliamentary Assembly opened in Sarajevo

31 May, 16:42
(ANSA) - SARAJEVO - ''Cooperation between the two parliaments begins, wanted and supported by the speaker of Italy's Chamber of Deputies Boldrini. Training on community issues and exchanges of officials will continue in the autumn, in Rome. In 2017, in the spring, our officials will be going to Sarajevo. The parliamentary dimension of relations between Italy and Bosnia and Herzegovina, after the visits paid by our speakers Grasso and Boldrini, thus enters into an operational phase, with the objective of assisting the parliamentary structures and Bosnian officials along the path of European integration'', said Ruggero Corrias, Italy's ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina on the sidelines of the CEI (Central European Initiative) Parliamentary Assembly which opened this morning in Sarajevo. Ahead of Assembly, MP Tamara Blazina, Italian coordinator for the implementation of the parliamentary cooperation protocol between the Italian Chamber of Deputies and the House of Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina, met with her Bosnian counterpart Predrag Kozul.
