Croatia, fines for inappropriate dress-code in Dubrovnik

Eur 335 for entering old town in swimming suit

28 April, 15:37
(ANSA) - DUBROVNIK - The authorities of the pearl of the Croatian coast, Dubrovnik, will soon introduce fines for tourists and locals entering the Old Town dressed 'inappropriately'. As of this year, those caught walking within the historic centre "without clothes, without part of the clothes or in swimming suit" will be charged a 2500 kunas fine (around 335 euros), Croatian media reported quoting local authorities. The decision came due to the frequent cases of tourists taking advantage of the nearby beaches to visit the Old Town wearing nothing but the swimsuit. (ANSA).
