Bulgaria, labour costs up by 5.8% in Oct-Dec 2015

(ANSA) - SOFIA - The cost of labour in Bulgaria grew by 5.8% in the last quarter of 2015 compared to the year before, data released by the National Office for Statistic shows. The highest hourly wage cost grew most notably in the construction sector (+11%), followed by industry (+8.1%) and services (+4.6%).

The growth of overal labour costs was most significant in the category of 'Administrative and support service activities' (+14.2%), followed by the real estate and construction sectors (+11%).

Non-wage related costs grew by 5.2% on a yearly basis. The hourly wage cost in Bulgaria was 3.8 euros in 2014 - the lowest in the Eu according to Eurostat. (ANSA).
