Bulgaria: fuel provided by Isis is sold at petrol stations

Sofia Daily Trud cites sources in customs services

02 March, 10:29

(ANSA) - SOFIA - Fuel supplied by ISIS is sold at petrol stations in Bulgaria, the Sofia daily Trud reported, citing sources in the customs services. The warning came from the special services of some partner countries. For several days, in fact, meticulous checks have been made at petrol stations around the country.

Dans, the Bulgarian national security agency, refused to comment on the news. According to the daily, the fuel smuggled by Isis might have been loaded onto tankers in Turkey before being transported to Greece, under false documents, and finally sold even in Bulgaria. The 'supply chain' of smuggled fuel was intercepted thanks to satellite photos sent to the Sofia authorities by the US and Russia. (ANSA).
