(ANSA) - TRIESTE - The project FUELPAGE, aimed at transferring best practices of fuel quality monitoring from the EU and the Czech Republic to the beneficiary target group in Serbia, has been officially launched in Belgrade.

The project is co-financed in the framework of the CEI Know-How Exchange Programme (KEP Italy), sponsored by the CEI Fund at the EBRD, entirely financed by Italy. The project has been jointly designed by the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology, Prague (main know-how provider) in cooperation with the Czech Association of Petroleum Industry and Trade, and the beneficiary organisations in Serbia - the Trade Inspection of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of Serbia (main beneficiary), the Ministry of Mining and Energy of Serbia, the National Petroleum Committee of Serbia - World Petroleum Council and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Belgrade.

The project, to be completed by November, envisions screening and analysis of the fuel quality monitoring framework in Serbia, as well as a presentation of best Czech and EU practices with a tailor-made knowledge transfer to support the efforts of national stakeholders in Serbia in the implementation of relevant EU legislation and the fight against the grey economy.(ANSA).
