Migrants: Austrian Minister, preparations to build barriers
Mikl-Leitner to FAZ, 'technical barriers' for a safe arrival

(ANSA) - LJUBLJANA - Austria's Interior Minister Johanna
Mikl-Leitner told the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung that the
preparations to build fences and barriers along the border with
Slovenia are underway.
''This is not a complete closure of the border'', Mikl-Leitner said, but ''a project designed for a tighter border control''.
The minister also stated that we are talking about a ''technical barrier'', which aims to maintain public order and ensure that migrants enter the country safely. What is certain - Mikl-Leitner added - is that these fences will be placed within a few kilometers, to the left and right of the crossings. Regarding their size, the minister explained that, so far, no decision has been made.(ANSA).
