Construction of motorway Slovenia-Carinthia to start in 2019

(ANSA) – LJUBLJANA - The construction of the motorway
connecting central Slovenia with the Austrian region of
Carinthia will start in 2019, representatives of
Slovenian government confirmed during an official visit to the
Austrian region.
According to Slovenia's Minister of infrastructure, Peter Gaspersic, the paperwork necessary for the construction should be ready by 2017, while land acquisitions are foreseen in 2018 to enable the start of construction works by 2019. This will be the third motorway wing of strategic importance for Slovenia, after Maribor-Koper and Kranj-Novo Mesto - the two lines intersecting in the capital Ljubljana. (ANSA)
