25 February, 10:20

(ANSA) - SARAJEVO - ''Meeting the EU's phytosanitary standards is crucial for Bosnians farmers and ranchers, who are the core of the country's economy. Under the guidance of the EU project, Italy is once again siding with Bosnia, being aware that only a European prospect is able to ensure a future to the country and its people''. This is what Italian ambassador Ruggero Corrias said opening the kick-off conference of the twinning project ''Further Strengthening of Capacities of phytosanitary sector in the fields of plant protection products, plant health and seed and seedlings, including phytosanitary laboratories and phytosanitary inspections'', funded by the EU and led by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry and the State Plant Health and Seed Inspection Service of the Republic of Poland, in collaboration with Italy's Informest and Poland's Research Institute for Horticulture.
