Tsipras's new Greek cabinet announced

Right-wing ally gets defense ministry

(ANSA) - ATHENS - New prime minister Alexis Tsipras's cabinet was announced on Tuesday. Finance minister will be Yannis Varoufakis, while Yannis Dragasakis will be deputy prime minister in charge of EU negotiations. The leader of the right-wing government ally, Panos Kammenos, will be defense minister and Nikos Kotzias will be foreign minister. The Interior and Administrative Reconstruction Ministry will be led by Nikos Voutsis and the Economy, Infrastructure, Maritime and Tourism Ministry by Giorgos Stathakis, while deputy minister tasked with maritime affairs will be Theodoris Dritsas.

Panayotis Lafazanis has been named head of the Production Reconstruction, Environment and Energy Ministry, while Aristidis Mpaltas will be in charge of the Culture, Education and Religion Ministry. Healthcare minister will be Panaytis Kouroumplis.
