26 January, 14:37
(ANSA) - ATHENS - ''The party of Independent Greeks will support the government to be formed by appointed president Tsipras'', said Panos Kammenos, leader of the right-wing Independent Greeks party (Anel), after an hour-long meeting with Tsipras. ''From this moment, the country has a new government''.

Meanwhile Stavros Theodorakis, leader of To Potàmi (the river), announced that his center-left party ''will not participate in the Syriza government nor will it provide external support, given that it will be formed together with the Independent Greeks party''. The leader of Syriza, Alexis Tsipras, will be received at 3.30 pm on Monday by head of State Karolos Papoulias to be tasked with forming the government.
