(ANSA) - UDINE - The winter season 2014/2015 Nassfeld-Pramollo, ready to start Saturday, December 5, offers many new attractions, on the background of a large ski area between Italy and Austria which is really booming, year after year. Two new four star hotels, Nassfeld and Almresort, are available and the renovated Hotel Wulfenia (also four stars) reopens. Ready for fans are the ski run with Skimovie, the ski school for children and the Funslope Park for daredevil skiers, who can have fun safely. Not only snow, but also cuisine: the Millennium Express path will host the fastest cooking class in the Alps, directly in the cable cars during the 17-minute climb to 2000-metre high Mount Mandrizze. Carinthian chefs will prepare various local delicatessen, ready to be tasted. The 80-kilometre area for cross-country skiing, along with walking trails (55 km) and natural areas (7 square km) where you can enjoy the beauty of nature in the mountains, are the added values of an offer that is not just skiing. Moreover, areas for safe Freeride, horse-drawn sleigh rides and a large skating/curling rink. Among the events, the BMW X-Drive Cup with two paths, Skimovie Drive and BMW x Drive Speed Photo. The new ski run for parallel slalom on Gartenkofel and Zweikofelbahn allow you to compete with your friends, while cameras film you automatically. On 29 March 2015, the district will host the UNESCO Cities Marathon, a competition that links three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Aquileia, Palmanova and Cividale, and there is no stop in the co-operation between Nassfeld - Pramollo and GS 2002 Tarvisio, amateur sports association for cross-country skiing.

Among the new attractions presented, the new website www.nassfeld.at and the Project Pramollo video-rendering. In fact, the preparatory work for developing the ski area is going on and in recent months the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Carinthia Land and the proposing company, Doppelmayr, have already taken the bureaucratic steps which are necessary to complete the competition announcement the region will issue to select the concessionaire. The timing of completion of the cable car that connects Pontebba to the ski resorts will therefore be complied with, if the concession notice is published by the end of 2014.
