(ANSA) - BERLIN - "We Americans are very grateful for the German
contribution to the search for a diplomatic solution", said the
US State Secretary, John Kerry, at a press conference held in
Berlin before the meeting with the German Chancellor, Angela
Merkel, about the conflict in Ukraine. Kerry underlined that
Germany is for Washington "a key partner." "Russian aggression
must end," he concluded, while stressing that the "Minsk
protocol should be respected."
On her side, also in a press conference held prior to the
meeting, Merkel stressed that "it is good that we can say to be
in close partnership with the United States and act in great
harmony" while dealing with pressing international crises, from
ISIS to Iran's nuclear program, from Ebola to the future of
Afghanistan and Ukraine. (ANSA).
