(ANSA) - KIEV- The war in East Ukraine costs the country 80 million grivnia, equivalent to 4,75 million Euros, the Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseni Yatsenyuk said. While commenting the Parliament's approval of the two laws conceding major autonomy to South East regions and amnesty to pro-Russian militants, Yatsenyuk reiterated that Ukraine will not recognize the self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Lugansk. The Ukrainian premier underlined, however, that the approval of the two laws were measures necessary for reaching peace and avoiding further victims. The EU also greeted the approval of the laws. The spokesperson of the EU External Action Service said that the EU "expects that Russia and the separatists will respond soon by implementing the pending points of the Minsk agreement, in particular the retirement of the illegal armed groups and military supplies, combatters and mercenaries from Ukraine, as well as introducing a border control system monitored by OSCE. Meanwhile, around 300 ultra-nationalists of Pravi Sektor have been protesting in front of the Presidential palace in Kiev, demanding from President Petro Poroshenko not to sign the laws approved by the Parliament.
