(ANSA) - BELGRADE - A summit between China and the leaders of the 16 countries of central and eastern Europe that will be held in Belgrade in December was announced by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and by Serbian Prime minister Aleksandar Vucic during an interview today in Tienjin.

For this occasion, Serbian media reported, China's prime minister will inaugurate with Vucic a new bridge across the River Danube built by a Chinese company, and will sign - along with Vucic and the head of Hungary's government Vuktor Orban - an agreement for the construction of a new high-speed railway between Belgrade and Budapest. In December, there will be the first visit in Serbia of a Chinese minister since 1986. Vucic is currently on a three-day visit to China, whose main objective is to foster new Chinese investments in Serbia. The summit in Belgrade will be the third one between China and the countries of south-eastern Europe, after the previous meetings held in Warsaw and Bucharest. (ANSA).
