Agreement for new coalition government signed in Slovenia

List of candidates for Ministries disclosed, 9 to Cerar's party

(ANSA) - LJUBLJANA - An agreement to form the new government led by Miro Cerar was signed on Monday 8th September. The national secretaries of the three coalition parties - Cerar (SMC), Karl Erjavec (DeSUS) and Dejan Zidan (SD) - have thus laid the foundation for the formation of a new centre-left government, that should win confidence vote after September 15.

The names of 16 candidates running for ministries have just been disclosed. The main party, SMC, will run 9 ministries, the pensioners' party, DeSUS, 4 ministries, the party of the Social Democrats 3 ministries. This list is to be tabled in parliament on Tuesday 9; afterwards, the parliament will hold hearings for the new ministers in parliamentary committees to which they belong, and after September 15, the Act of settlement, the vote of confidence, which, for the time being, seems to be a mere formality.
