Serbia accuses Kosovo of not respecting agreement

Serbian representative likens Kosovo's implimentation to buffet

28 August, 12:40

(ANSA) - BELGRADE - Serbian government head for Kosovo, Marko Djuric, has blamed Kosovar authorities in Pristina for delays implementing Brussels agreements on the normalization of relations between Serbia and Kosovo. A large part of the document defining the legal basis necessary for the creation of the new Association of Serbian Municipalities in Kosovo has not yet been put in place by Kosovo, Duric was quoted as saying by media in Belgrade. The agreement in question was signed in Brussels April 19, 2013.

"The agreement is not a buffet table from which the Pristina authorities can take what suits them and leave what is not to their liking," said the Serbian leader.

Due to March elections in Serbia and June elections in Kosovo, the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina has been suspended since February, when the last meeting was held between the countries' respective premiers. (ANSA).
