Nato, over 1000 Russian soldiers combating in Novoazovsk

(ANSA) - TRIESTE - The city of Novoazovsk, on the coast of Azov sea south of Donetsk, where a third battlefield has been opened has been overtaken by Russian troups, Ukrainian media reported. Over 1,000 Russian soldiers are currently employed in the battles on the Ukrainian territory, particularly in the area around Novoazovsk, according to a NATO official cited by France Presse.

"Russia has notably reinforced its military presence in Ukraine", said on his part the Ukrainian Prime Minister, Arseni Yatseniuk during an encounter with the representatives of Ukrainian diaspora. The head of the Ukrainian government added that urgent encounters must be organized at EU and OSCE level. Ukrainian President, Petro Poroshenko, cancelled an earlier programmed visit to Turkey due to "entrance of Russian troups to Ukraine", according to a note published on the website of the President.
