(ANSA) - PALERMO, OCTOBER 20 - Italian citrus producer
Oranfrizer will be using 'children's language' at Expo Milano
2015 to reveal many little-known details of what is possibly
Sicily's most distinctive fruit: the blood orange.
The 'tale' will be told at Spazio Convivio 2 in the Italian
pavilion, from 11 AM to 12:30 PM Monday to Thursday, as part of
the activities planned alongside the Citrus Production District
during Sicily Week.
Through this 'journey to Sicily', Oranfrizer will describe
its place of origin, where stretches of evergreen trees are seen
under the heights of the UNESCO World Heritage site volcano Etna
and a hot sun.
Sicily has fertile soils and luxuriant vegetation, where the
'gardens of blood oranges' flourish. The production zone has
been named by the EU as one of protected geographic indication
(IGP).
Inspiration was from the didactic campaign 'The Garden of
Oranges. Stories and Mysteries from the Foothills of Etna' by
Giunti Progetti Educativi.
Oranfrizer will use seven colorful videoclips during the
presentation, created with world champion volleyball player
Andrea Lucchetta. (ANSA).
