(ANSA) - Ancona, Dec 18 - The Marche Region will chair the EU Adrion Programme (Adriatic Ionian Programme) 2014-2020 on behalf of Italy. This decision was made this morning by the Conference of Regions which entrusted the Region with the role of coordinator in managing and implementing Adrion nationwide. ''This is a mission we are proud of - the Governor Gian Mario Spacca said -; thanks to the decision made today by the Conference of Regions - he added - the role that the Marche Region has played in recent years in order to build the Adriatic Ionian macro-region is finally recognized. Adrion's ambitions are particularly high and, therefore, the work that we will be facing with is delicate and complex. We are asked to support the development and implementation of the AIMR strategy, backing it up in the crucial phase of its beginning, supporting the design phase, the governance and the implementation of the action plan''.
