(ANSA) - ANCONA, OCT. 24 - ''Today is a historic day which gives us an extraordinary European project to reach the goals of peace, growth and integration: that is the strategy of the Adriatic Ionian macro-region'', according to the President of the Marche Region, Gian Mario Spacca, who commented on the adoption of the Eusair strategy by the European Council in Brussels today. ''Today - Spacca said Smash - is the happy result of an exciting, long and complex path of growth. Thanks to a strong and unanimous commitment of Adriatic and Ionian institutions and communities, today we celebrate the birth of the third European macro-region, after the Baltic and the Danube macro-region: the first one which directly involves Italy''.

''We also have to thank our government - he continued - that has regarded the strategy as one of the key points of the six-month presidency of the EU. But we are only at the beginning. Now every country, region, county or territory will have to be strongly committed to designing a big project, in order to effectively achieve the objectives of the Action Plan.
