(ANSA) - TRIESTE - Croatian Mep Ivan Jakovcic (Alde) was
appointed rapporteur in the Strasbourg Assembly on the
Adriatic-Ionian Initiative strategy within the Committee for
regional development. This was announced in Trieste by Jakovcic
himself, former Governor of the Region of Istria, during a
meeting which focused on the main issues concerning the Upper
Adriatic Sea, organized by the European Dialogues Foundation. "I
contacted the president of the Marche Region Gian Mario Spacca
just a few days ago - Jakovcic said - and we are willing to plan
joint meetings in order to talk about real issues, such as the
development of infrastructure on the eastern shore of the
Adriatic Sea, environmental issues, fishing. There are so many
things we can do together - he concluded -, along with big
investments". (ANSA).
