(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 30 MAR - The Krsko nuclear power plant, in Slovenia, will undergo a programmed outage starting April 1st for regular maintenance, the Krsko management said in a statement yesterday, adding that the disconnection is expected to last less than one month.

During the regular outage, replacement of fuel and regular maintenance will be carried out, together with the implementation of "nine major technological upgrades," Krsko said in the statement.

The power plant undergoes regular maintenance at the end of each 18-month fuel cycle. During the last cycle, the plant operated stable and produced 8.37 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, Krsko noted. (ANSA).
