Prysmian invests EUR 230 mln for wind energy in Germany

With submarine high voltage cable under Baltic Sea

(ANSA) - MILAN - Prysmian Group has acquired a new deal from 50Hertz Offshore GmbH (company controlled by 50Hertz Transmission GmbH, German electricity network operator) of the value of around 230 million euros aimed at designing, producing and installing cable connections with the offshore eolic parks in West of Adlergrund (Baltic sea) with the German electric network.

The project of interconnection foresees the installation of a high voltage underwater cable between the offshore eolic parks 40km North-East from the Ruegen island and the station of Lubmin in North-East Germany - 90 km under the sea and 3 km underground.(ANSA).
