(ANSA) - TRIESTE - Wind farms are expected to bring 4.5 billion euros to Romania over the next 20 years through the so far installed wind power plants, said the country's Environment and Climate Change Minister, Attila Korodi, during the Central European Initiative (CEI) Ministerial conference "Energy turnaround" held in Vienna, as reported by Agerpres. The sector is expected to bring 10 thousand highly qualified jobs, he added.

According to the minister, the growth of green energy consumption in the country has been "spectacular" - from 23% of total consumption in 2012 to 40% in 2013. Korodi cited international experts ranking Romania as the 10th most attractive country in the World for wind power investment and 13th in terms of total renewable energy potential. (ANSA)
