South Stream, Serbian section at starting line in October
Pipeline building works will begin regardless of Bulgaria's stop

(ANSA) - BELGRADE - The construction work for the Serbian
section of the South Stream gas pipeline will begin in October,
according to Aleksandr Siromiatin, head of international
projects developed by Gazprom, Russian energy giant which is
involved in building the infrastructure with Italy's Eni.
Speaking at a conference in Budapest, Siromiatin - quoted by Tanjug - pointed out that the construction of the pipeline in Serbia will start regardless of the situation in Bulgaria, where the South Stream project has been suspended until its implementation will be harmonized with the EU legislation.
