KidsFest Tunisie opens with message of peace and tolerance

Day of celebration in Sidi Bou Said on April 15

13 April, 12:43
(ANSA) - TUNIS - All set in Sidi Bou Said for the fifth edition of KidsFest Tunisie on Sunday.

The event is a fixture for Tunisian children and their families. It is inspired by the Kid's Festival in Sarajevo, which since 2004 has brought together over 40,000 children from all over Bosnia and now has UNESCO sponsorship. The aim is to unite children, young people and their parents for a day of celebration under the banner of peace and tolerance and dare to imagine together a better world. The slogan for this year is 'C'est la vie!' (That's life), a call to live life with enthusiasm. On Saturday there will be a visit to child patients in hospitals in the country. "KidsFest brings different communities together with the aim of being adopted by civil society in its entirety, independently of cultural, social, ethnic or religious differences," Ramzi Labidi, president of the association Kamar that promotes the festival, told ANSAmed. On Sunday afternoon there will be a colourful procession followed by activities and entertainment on various themes including the environment, sustainable development, active citizenship and the plastic arts. The Italian school G.B. Hodierna, the Italian institute of culture and the Italian embassy in Tunisia are among the participating institutions. (ANSA).
