In 2 days already 600 thousand visitors to 184th Oktoberfest
One liter beer mug costs 10.95 euros

(ANSA) - MUNICH - About 600,000 people have already visited the Oktoberfest on the first weekend of the festival. The world's largest beer festival kicked off yesterday, with the famous words ''O 'Zapft is'', said by the Munich mayor, Dieter Reiter, at 12 o'clock.
Up to 6 mn people are expected to visit the 184th edition, which opens a week ahead of Germany's general election.
The traditional one liter beer mug costs 10.95 euros this year, that is 25 cents more than last year.
Because of terror threat, security measures have been strengthened. The Oktoberfest will close on October 3. (ANSA).
