26th Mittelfest opening in Cividale with Borut Pahor

(ANSA) - UDINE - A public conversation between Slovenia's President Borut Pahor and the editor of the daily La Stampa Maurizio Molinari, will open the 26th edition of Mittlfest, the festival of Mitteleuropa which is going to take place in Cividale del Friuli (Udine) until July 25.

Once again, the festival of Cividale del Friuli puts the spotlight on the last 25 years of European life and its future prospects, starting a discussion on the role of culture in promoting dialogue and cooperation between countries in the European Central Area. The President of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia Debora Serracchiani is likely to attend the conference. After this event in the name of institutional relations and friendship among peoples, the opening day of the prose, music, dance and theater festival will continue with a vision of Europe's destiny, through the show "Eu Europa Utopia" Mittelfest co-production 2017, among the festival and five theatres of the FVG region (A. Artistiassociati, Css Teatro Stabile d'Innovazione del FVG, la Contrada Teatro Stabile di Trieste, Il Rossetti - Teatro Stabile FVG E Slovensko Stalno Gledalisce). A multidisciplinary event in different stages is planned in the complex of the former convent of St. Francis at 7pm.(ANSA).
