(ANSA) - TRIESTE - Re-act, Regional Audiovisual Cooperation and Training, is the cross-border initiative aimed at co-developing audiovisual projects and at encouraging new international co-productions, which was presented in Venice as a part of the Venice Film Market. This project was explained by Debora Serracchiani, President of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, along with Tamara Perisic, under-secretary for Culture of the Republic of Croatia, and Paolo Vidali, director of the FVG audiovisual fund.

Re-act was designed by FVG audiovisual fund, with Croatian and Slovenian national funds.

''We will be presenting - Serracchiani said - our common ''network building'' capability, in order to bring Friuli Venezia Giulia, Slovenia and Croatia together even in the field of culture, building a strong alliance in the audiovisual and film sector, which is the starting point of a more structural co-operation with the neighbouring countries. It'd be good for us even to seek together European funding dedicated to financing these specific projects''. ''Our aim is to provide a platform to the audiovisual sector in all three countries'', under-secretary Perisic said. This initiative has enabled some international co-productions to be developed, such as ''TIR'', '' Zoran My Nephew the Idiot'' or ''Dancing with Maria''. Re-act will have an annual budget of 120,000 euros. (ANSA).
