New call for CEI SEEMO Award for Investigative Journalism

(ANSA) - TRIESTE - The CEI and the South East Europe Media Organisation (SEEMO), in special partnership with the Media Program South East Europe of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), have opened the Call for applications for the 2014 edition of the Award which includes two sections - ''Professional Journalists'' (4.000 EUR) and ''Young Journalists'' up to 30 years of age (1.000 EUR).

The Award for outstanding merits in investigative journalism aims to honours journalists who greatly contribute to investigative reporting despite the difficult conditions under which they operate. Candidates from Albania, Austria, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine are welcome.

The Award will officially be granted on the occasion of the South East Europe Media Forum in October 2014. The deadline for applying is 30 May 2014 (documentation available at www.cei.int). (ANSA).
