Commerce Chambers: Cosenza "reward systems", more efficiency

Chamber has achieved important results over the last five years

(ANSA) - COSENZA, JUL 1 - According to official data, the productivity of public administration has not increased for more than 20 years, yet 9 out of 10 administrations reach a 100% performance.

Cosenza Chamber of Commerce has the necessary expertise in terms of 'reward systems', based on ''tangible results for businesses'', according to a statement issued by the same Chamber. ''The chairman of the National Anti-Corruption Authority (ANAC), Raffaele Cantone, said that '' those who rule must be committed to rewarding merit, but also to penalizing demerit. In 2017, horizontal economic progress was accredited to staff, strictly respecting the norm as well as public ethics, which is able to use these mechanisms as an opportunity to improve the employees' career, and not as a sort of 'flattening tool'. The percentage of those who saw their career improve was 62%, that is out 25 of 42 eligible employees. In the past, the percentage was nearly 100%, and this probably happens in most public administrations today''.

The Chamber's performance has continued to grow of in the last five years: 96.93% in 2012, 92.60% (2013), 93.62% (2014), 89, 31% (2015) and 87.72% (2016). The reduction in percentage terms is not a loss of efficiency compared to the past - he added - but shows the pursuit of increasingly challenging goals, and is the result of a strong commitment, not a dummy success based on numbers rather than facts''. ''In the last two years - he commented - our Chamber has been able to achieve important goals even at a national level, thus becoming a benchmark among Italy's Chambers of Commerce.'' (ANSA).
