Romania: Nuclearelectrica needs up to 3.5 bn for new reactor
State guarantees essential for the project
18 February, 15:17In 2015 Nuclearelectrica signed a memorandum of understanding with China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN) for the construction of two new reactors at Cernavoda, but Romanian former Prime Minister Ludovic Orban announced in January that the government will exit the deal with its Chinese partner, Bne Intellinews recalled. According to Chirica, with an EU or NATO partner, Romania could develop two reactors. (ANSA).
