Poland: minimum wage increased to over 600 euros

It will be raised also in 2021, PM anticipated in September

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 02 JAN - On January 1st 2020 the minimum monthly wage in Poland rose to 2,600 PLN, approximately 610 euros, from 2019's 2,500 PLN, the Polish public radio reported.

The minimum hourly rate also grew to 17 PLN (approx. 4 euros) from 14.70. The minimum wage in the country rose to PLN 2,250 at the start of 2019 from PLN 2,100 in 2018, the Polish radio informed, recalling that Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said in September that the minimum wage in Poland would increase also in 2021. According to information from the Polish Central Statistical Office, the average monthly wage in Poland in November was approximately 1,227 euros. (ANSA).
