(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 15 AUG - The Czech economy grew by 0.6%
on a quarterly basis and by 2.7% year-on-year in the second
quarter of 2019 according to a preliminary estimate, the Czech
Statistical Office (CZSO) informed.
"Final consumption expenditure supported mainly by household
consumption was the dominant growth factor of the GDP" together
with external demand, which "significantly contributed to the
GDP growth," the CZSO said. "Favourable economic development
continued in most of the economic activities of Czech economy,"
the statistical office added.
According to analysts quoted by the specialized portal Bne
Intellinews, the continuous growth in the Czech Republic, above
is potential, is a positive sign, taking into accounts the
troubles of the German economy. Experts underlined that strong
domestic demand is providing a significant support to the
