(ANSA) - BELGRADE, DECEMBER 28 - The unemployment rate in Croatia continued to rise for the second month in a row in November, official data show.

According to the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS), the unemployment rate was 9.4% last month, up 0.3% from the 9.1% registered in October. At the end of November, almost 147,000 job-seekers were registered with the national employment service, +3.7 percent compared to October, the Croatian news agency Hina reported.

The increase in the number of unemployed is in line with the seasonal trends recorded in the previous years. The unemployment rate in November 2018 is in any case much lower than the ones registered in the same months in the past years. In November 2017, the rate was 11.8%, in 2016 14.3%, in 2015 17.4% and in 2014 19.1%.
