Slovenia: foreign direct investment increase by 5.4% in 2017

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 23 OTT - Direct foreign investments to Slovenia increased to 13.7 billion euros in 2017, +5.4% compared to 2016, a report from the Slovenian Central Bank said, the specialized portal SeeNews has informed, noting that the biggest increases were due to equity and reinvested earnings.

The most important investor countries in Slovenia in 2017 were Austria, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands, while the largest investments were recorded in the manufacturing sector, in financial and insurance activities, and in wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles.
