Romania: in Cluj-Napoca urban project for 120,000 people

Soon international competition for European architects

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 14 AGO - The authorities of Cluj-Napoca, a 300,000 city in northwestern Romania, are planning the construction of a new neighborhood that will host more than 120,000 people, the largest built in the town since the late 1960s. According to the portal Romania Insider, the plot for the project will be located on a 24 hectares area in the eastern part of the city and currently two topographic and geotechnical studies are being carried out.

Romania Insider informed that the authorities will launch an international competition open to architects from all over Europe who want to participate in the project. (ANSA).
