14 August, 17:17
(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 14 AGO - The gross domestic product of Hungary grew by 4.6% according to raw data and by 4.4% according to seasonally and calendar adjusted data in the 2nd quarter of 2018 compared to the same period of the previous year, the Hungarian Central Statistical Office said today, adding that "most industries contributed to the growth, market-based services to the greatest extent." "Today's release at 4.6% y/y came in well above our expectations (and the market consensus too) that stood at 4.1%," Erste Group Research said in a note, commenting the first data from the Hungarian statistical office and recalling other data that show "record-low unemployment" and "hefty wage growth."
