Germany: in 2019 debt below 60% of GDP

(ANSA) - BERLIN, 06 LUG - The spokesperson of the German government, Steffen Seibert, announced that Germany will register a level of public debt of 58.25% of its GDP in 2019, below the thresholds of the Maastricht criteria. It is the first time that the German debt goes below the 60% level in the last 17 years.

Seibert said that the German government has approved in a special session the draft budget for 2019 today, which does not foresee any new debts in 2019. (ANSA).
