(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 06 MAR - Hungary registered a GDP growth
of 4 percent in 2017, the national ministry of Economy said
today, quoting data from the Hungarian Central Statistical
Office (KSH). Authorities clarified that "in 2017 all economic
sectors except for agriculture, which has suffered from poor
weather, have contributed positively to GDP growth." The data
recorded last year in Hungary are "the highest growth figures in
thirteen years," the ministry added. Hungary expects a GDP
growth of 4.3 percent in 2018.
The good state of the Hungarian economy and the "strong
growth" for 2018 and 2019 were also foreseen in the last
European Commission macroeconomic forecast for Hungary. The
forecast said that the "strong domestic demand" is among the
main driver of growth in Hungary. (ANSA).
