(ANSA) - LUBIANA - Slovenia's Kolektor group, a multinational
company operating in the field of components and systems for the
automotive industry and assembly technology, signed today a
contract and became the owner of the Italian group Microtel
Group, manufacturer of electronic modules and sensors.
A press release issued by Idrija-based company reported that the
parties have been working on the buying process for almost two
years, even though the sale figures have not been disclosed.
In order to reach the 2020 target of 1bn turnover, Kolektor has
decided to undertake an active buying policy, in addition to
organic growth investments, thus the acquisition of Microtel
Group will complete the portfolio of electronic products and
will develop synergies, turning Kolektor into one of the most
important suppliers of these components, with a think-tank for
electronic sensors at the heart of Lombardy.
Microtel Group, with a 45mn turnover and 350 employees, owns
production plants in both Italy (Microtel) and Germany (Siegert
electronic), with representative offices in France and China.
