Germany: industrial production down 1.2% in December
Unexpected decrease, estimates indicated a 0.5% growth

(ANSA) - ROME - Germany's industrial production unexpectedly fell in December for the second consecutive month by 1.2% over the previuos month. The estimates indicated a potential increase by 0.5%. Germany's exports set a new record in 2015, recording an increase by 6.4% compared with 2014. Germany exported goods worth 1.1958 trillion euros last year. The imported goods amounted to 948 billion (up 4.2%). These data, released by Federal Statistical Office, Destatis, show, however, a decrease by 1,6% in December over the previous month. (ANSA).
