Construction boom in Hungary +17% and Slovenia +25%

Eurostat signals month-by-month drops in Ljubljana and Prague

(ANSA) - TRIESTE - The construction sector grew by 0,4% on an annual basis in Eurozone and 0,6% in EU28 according to Eurostat.

The numbers were obtained confronting data from July 2014 and July 2013. Sectoral growth peaked in Slovenia(+24,8%) and Hungary (+17,5%), leading the EU28, while the worst results were registered in Romania(-19,7%) and Slovakia (-6,1%). Short-term data for July shows drops in Czech Republic (-3,1% compared to June) and Slovenia (-2,1%), while the most positive tendency was registered in Hungary (+3,9%) and Germany (+1,7%).
